The Institut pour la photographie invites you to join us on Friday, September 6, at the Colysée in Lambersart for the opening of its new off-site exhibition.

Invited by the City of Lambersart to present an exhibition at the Colysée—which is dedicating its fall program to women—the Institute has developed a project that brings together a selection of photographs by eight winners of the “Grande Commande Photojournalisme” competition, funded by the Ministry of Culture and organized by the BnF.

↘︎ Credits: Exhibition organized by the Institut pour la photographie in partnership with the City of Lambersart as part of the joint programming of the members of the Cercle Hippolyte Bayard, a committee of photography professionals in the Hauts-de-France region. The photographs on display were produced as part of the major national commission *Radioscopie de la France: Perspectives on a Country in the Grips of the Health Crisis*, funded by the Ministry of Culture and led by the BnF.

Maître Mim’s

The band's crazy drummer Next up, Matthieu Souchet takes to the turntables under the stage name Maître Mim’s… As a maestro of grooves that will have you swaying between the African and Latin American continents, he electrifies the dance floor with funk (Carioca funk from the Brazilian favelas), dancehall (a variant of Jamaican reggae), Martinique-style shatta, Afrohouse, techno, bass, and dance music… With his knack for tweaking electronic harmonies and blending genres, his wild sets follow the common thread of repetitive music whose sole obsession is to guide you into a collective trance!

DJ FOSSET

It was her smile, with its cute dimples, that gave her her name: DJ FOSSET. She took her first steps as a DJ in 2023, initially training under DJ NEK, a DJ from Brussels. Since then, she’s dabbled in various settings—radio, exhibitions, parties, bars, clubs—always with the goal of getting the dance floor grooving. She’s also the creator of T. R. I. P. Z. I. K, a series of more personal and experimental sets. She strives to create sets that convey emotion and groove through her track selection. She’s influenced by a wide range of styles: disco, house, garage, funk, dub, techno, jazz, ambient…

Omar EK

A self-taught musician, Omar EK began his musical journey in Casablanca, his hometown. Influenced by his collaborations with Arab-African musicians, this change of scenery inspired him to delve deeper into exploring this rich musical landscape. It was through electronic music that he came up with the idea of exploring the musical heritage of the continent where he was born, grounding his artistic vision in a progressive and modern Africa.
