Openfolio
Each year, the Institut pour la photographie offers two days of free portfolio reviews for professional and amateur photographers from the Hauts-de-France region and neighboring Belgian provinces (whether they are natives or residents), bringing together a jury of photography experts and the general public.
Following a call for submissions, approximately thirty photographers are selected to participate in these portfolio reviews and present their projects to the public for two hours, including a 20-minute meeting and discussion with the jury.
Following this presentation, 5 winners will be selected to participate in a public presentation, which may take the form of a screened film with commentary and/or an exhibition.

Frequently asked questions about applications
The call for entries is open to both amateur and professional photographers; applicants must be natives of or residents in the Hauts-de-France region or the neighboring Belgian provinces. There are no requirements regarding age, educational qualifications, or professional background.
The dates change every year, but the call for applications is issued around spring, and the date is announced in advance.
Once the call for applications is published, you must submit: the completed information form, a statement of intent, a resume, and images of your project(s) compiled into a single PDF file.
You can include as many projects as you like in your portfolio; for selected candidates, we recommend presenting one or two projects on the table on the day of the presentation.
The presentation takes place over an entire weekend, as specified in the call for applications (each applicant must ensure they are available for the entire duration of the weekend). The location changes each year, and the public presentation takes place at a table during a designated 2-hour time slot; the jury spends 20 minutes with each participant.
The exhibition takes the form of a display at a new venue each year. The Institute's team works with the winners to help them prepare their exhibition as effectively as possible.
