A training program on photographic images designed for teachers.

With the goal of helping teachers understand the societal, artistic, cultural, and civic issues conveyed by photographic images, as well as the connections these images foster across different fields of learning, the Institute has offered a training program every year since 2022 entitled "Éveiller le regard" (captivating the Eye).

Designed for all levels of education—from preschool through higher education—this cross-disciplinary program combines training sessions with classroom projects to support volunteer teachers and their students as they explore together a medium open to endless possibilities. 

Throughout the year, these various projects—which engage and involve the students—take the form of workshops, experiments, and creative projects, using both traditional and contemporary photographic techniques. Each group is free to choose its own creative space and unique themes, such as nature, self-portraiture, movement, the body, friendship, objects, archives, and more.

To date, the program "Éveiller le regard" enabled us to support 39 teachers and their classes, spread across 32 different schools located in 21 cities in the Hauts-de-France region and Belgium.
