Anamnesis

The term Anamnesis refers to our ability to revisit past moments and experiences in order to seek a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world.

My images explore the world of memories—not as a static archive, but as a living, porous substance that reflects our recurring thoughts, which fade over time.

This series is inspired by a trip to the seaside, marking a fresh start after the health crisis—during which I became a parent.

To convey the erosion of memory, I created lithographic prints. By transferring these fragments of memory onto old paper, I created images “ infectious ", with a grainy texture and sharp contrasts, whose development process was partly beyond my control.

In this way, Anamnesis transports us to a world tinged with fantasy, where oblivion blends into an organic light. Memory becomes vague there, but emotions linger and imbue the image with a fragile radiance.
