Sharing One's Map of the World

The project is based on agency photo collections that served as editorial support for the television news programs of the ORTF (Office de Radiodiffusion Télévision) between 1960 and 1986.

Photo agencies sold their images to ORTF. At the intersection of their relationship with the ORTF, the iconographers—whose role in managing the collections contributes to a better understanding of how, through the physical management of images, a cartography of the world and values is mapped out in the media landscape—
