After Oblivion

After Oblivion is a project developed with student volunteers from the school, with support from the DRAEAC in Lille, the DRAC Hauts-de-France, and the Réseau Canopé.

The Project

The Institut pour la photographie and Lycée Pasteur have developed two series of art workshops for interested students at the school.

Using vernacular photographs as a starting point, After Oblivion invited the students to create artist’s books and produce a short animated film, with the aim of imagining a fictional history for various orphaned images. As a result, the students created unique works that combined photographic images with original media.
