We have never relied so heavily on photography to share our everyday lives.

From family portraits and postcards to digital apps, this inaugural programme reveals how photographers, artists, amateurs and entrepreneurs have embraced the medium to document, question and even elevate the ordinariness of daily life over time.

This free event and its seven brand-new exhibitions are, above all, an opportunity to share with you the project heralding the Institut pour la photographie. The library, workshops, book fair, portfolio reviews and late-night openings will all provide opportunities for people from all walks of life to engage in discussion and experimentation around photography – moments we hope will be ‘extraORDINARY’!
