Sylvain Couzinet-Jacques

Born in 1983, Sylvain Couzinet-Jacques is a graduate of the Marseille School of Fine Arts and the National School of Photography in Arles. 

His work has been featured in solo exhibitions at Le BAL in Paris in 2013, at the Aperture Foundation in New York in 2016, and at C/O Berlin in 2019. 

For several years now, he has been exploring a concept that lies somewhere between the documentary genre and the visual arts, focusing on the idea of re-enchantment. 

His first book  Eden  (1,000 pages of  hand-scans  of a house purchased for $1,000 in Eden, North Carolina) was published by Aperture (New York) in 2016,  Sub Rosa , was published by Spector Books (Leipzig) in 2019. 

He currently works in Paris.
