Mazaccio-Drowilal Collective

Élise Mazac, also known as Mazaccio, and Robert Drowilal are two French artists performing under the name Mazaccio & Drowilal.

Both influenced by conceptual art, Pop art, and Pictures Generation , Élise and Robert base their work on the principle of “ gluing  ". Their work addresses various topics such as fame, brand image, and identity. As such, digital cultures and Internet-related iconography profoundly influence their relationship with images.

Their work has been featured in solo exhibitions at the Rencontres d’Arles, Les Abattoirs in Toulouse, the Musée des Beaux-Arts in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and the French Institute in New York, as well as in group exhibitions at Galleria Continua, Les Moulins, the Nicéphore Niépce Museum, and the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
