Houda Outarahout
Journalist, photographer, and documentary filmmaker
Houda Outarahout studied and gained experience in France for about ten years, working at several media outlets—including print, online, and television.
Upon returning to Morocco in 2012, she had the opportunity to collaborate with several general-interest and specialized media outlets, such as Diptyk Magazine, while also continuing to pursue her passion for photography and video. She collaborates with Africa in Focus on various projects, events, and articles in Morocco.
After devoting several years to the project Marocopedia , a series of web documentaries dedicated to preserving Morocco’s tangible and intangible heritage, she combines her passions for writing and visual storytelling.
In 2020, she co-founded the production company HK Films to develop and produce Moroccan documentaries, turning her lens on this society in transition and its changing youth.
