Podcast - "ÉCOUTEZ VOIR" with Diamantino Quintas
Agnès Varda is one of the few artists to have been both a photographer and a filmmaker. She was a photographer who loved taking her own pictures and would have continued doing so had filmmaking not taken up so much of her life. She then entrusted her images to an outstanding printer, Diamantino Quintas, who is well known among many photographers.
Diamantino spent a lot of time in the lab with Agnès Varda, starting in 2012. It was therefore only natural that he would be the one to take three shots of Sète, presented at the 2023 Rencontres d’Arles as part of the exhibition of photographs that served as a reference for his film “ La Pointe-Courte ". Brigitte Patient met Diamantino in his lab, surrounded by his four ginger cats.
