Afterimages

In this series, Marina recreates certain memories that have remained etched in her mind as lingering images from childhood through adulthood. 

“Moments when you suddenly step back, as if you were detaching from yourself.”

at the intersection of reconstruction, research through experimentation, and art therapy, *Images persistantes* seeks to explore the nature of certain memories that we believe belong only to ourselves. The images created have taken precedence over the memories themselves. As a result, the emotional state associated with those memories has been diluted.
