Artist Olivia Arthur was invited by BredaPhoto to present her book Lee et les créatures de la mer (Lee and the Sea Things), first project supported through the Institut's Children Photo Book Support Fund.

For its 12th edition, the international photography festival BredaPhoto showcases the power of photography to younger generations through a unique collaboration with the Institut pour la photographie Hauts-de-France Regional Center for Photography (CRP/). For this event, the festival has invited British photographer Olivia Arthur to present her book Lee and the Sea Creatures, published by Bel et Bien .

First winning project in our Children Photo Book Support Fund, this work sensitively explores the themes of grief and memory through the eyes of a child.

on this occasion, Olivia Arthur’s work will be presented at the Carré Chassé, the festival’s epicenter. To explore these initiatives dedicated to emerging art further, a roundtable discussion organized as part of the opening weekend on September 12, 2026 (10:00 a. m. – 11:00 a. m.) will bring together the photographer, Henk Moens (secretary general of the Institut pour la photographie), Audrey Hoareau (director of CRP/) and Friso Wijnen (director of BredaPhoto).
