avec le Lycée Baudelaire de Roubaix et le Lycée Privat d'Arles
In collaboration with Les Rencontres de la photographie d'Arles and with support from Pass Culture, this project brought together two schools: the Lycée Charles Baudelaire in Roubaix and the Lycée professionnel Charles Privat in Arles.
The students explored the concepts of storytelling and staging by creating a photographic “exquisite corpse.” The images created by the first school served as a starting point for their classmates, who, in turn, continued the story. The students conceived and staged scenes within the shared space of their high school.
Their guiding principle was humor and imagination. Starting from reality, the students were able to explore the spaces of their daily lives at high school. Through fiction, they reinvented and transformed these spaces using a poetic and offbeat perspective. The goal was thus to ground the project in a universal narrative: that of the school environment.
The project led to the publication of a joint publication, an exhibition at Lycée Baudelaire, and a trip by students from Roubaix to Arles as part of the “Rentrée en Images” event.
