Every year, the program DELTA , an initiative launched by the Hauts-de-France DRAC, enables three cultural organizations—the CRP, L’H du Siège, and the Institut pour la photographie—to invite an artist to develop an artistic project involving residents from their three respective regions.
As part of the first workshop organized by the CRP/, artist Pauline Delwaulle—supported by the Institute and the program Green Residence from the Ministry of Culture, as part of its project Coastal Drift - has worked with beneficiaries of the association that fights illiteracy Words & Wonders , at the Bruay-sur-l’Escaut branch. Together, they created kites decorated with a cloud pattern using the cyanotype photographic technique.
Chosen for its universal nature, the cloud takes on multiple meanings depending on culture, beliefs, and place of residence. It thus serves as a fertile starting point for exchange, creation, and sharing, promoting social and cultural integration through artistic practice.
following the three scheduled workshops, a presentation bringing together all participants and their creations is planned. Taking the form of a seaside picnic in Dunkirk, this gathering will be an opportunity to fly the kites together, which everyone can then take home as a memento of this shared experience.
