College of Applied Arts and Textiles

ESAAT, the Higher School of Applied Arts and Textiles in Roubaix, allows students to explore a wide range of artistic practices. One of the school’s studios is dedicated to working with terracotta, particularly to modeling. 

In this room, there are more than a hundred sculptures—mostly reproductions of historical works—that are, unfortunately, underutilized or even overlooked. 

To  bring them  back to life, the students  collaborated with Julien  Pitinome on site-specific installations, which were subsequently displayed in public spaces for all to see.
