Margaux Lavernhe

Margaux Lavernhe is an art historian specializing in West African photographic cultures from the 1950s to the present. 

A graduate of ENS Lyon and a certified history teacher, she is currently completing her dissertation titled “  From Home to Home: Toward a Global History of Ghanaian Photography "edited by Anne Lafont and Anne Hugon." 

She taught African history, African art, and photography at EHESS, Paris 1 University, and Paris 8 University. Her writings have been published in the journals *Photographica* and *Sources*. 

Margaux Lavernhe also curates exhibitions in France and Ghana.
