Catarina Boieiro

Catarina Boieiro is an independent producer, curator, and researcher. 

Her work focuses on documentary imagery and contemporary creativity on the fringes of mainstream cinema. She collaborates with Stenar Projects , a platform dedicated to the production and distribution of films by artists such as Ana Vaz, Filipa César, Deborah Stratman, and Emily Wardill, among others. It organized the exhibition “ Widespread Visual Resistance. Photography Books and Liberation Movements (Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde) " (2021–2022, National Institute of Art History, Paris, funded by the Gulbenkian Foundation), the result of historical research and curatorial work conducted in collaboration with Raquel Schefer. 

She served as editorial coordinator for Doc’s Kingdom – International Seminar on Documentary Film in 2021.
