Camille Richert

Camille Richert is an art historian, researcher, and professor at ENSBA Lyon, as well as an independent curator and art critic. 

She studied contemporary history at ENS Lyon and authored a dissertation in art history on representations of labor in the Western world since 1968, which she defended at Sciences Po Paris. She continued her research by focusing on the British collective the Hackney Flashers, about whom she published *Parents Must Unite + Fight*, the first monograph dedicated to this collective, which won the Swiss Most Beautiful Books Award in 2024 and was supported by a “Mondes nouveaux” grant from the Ministry of Culture. As an associate curator at La Salle de bains in Lyon, publications director at Lafayette Anticipations, and director of the Sciences Po Prize for Contemporary Art, she presented“Hope for Change” at the CEAAC in Strasbourg, served as guest curator for Aware’s “+1” program, and co-curated the 2nd Art & Industry Triennial in Dunkirk.
