Critical Genealogies of Extractivism: Images, Knowledge, Divisions

The seminar aims to explore the critical and imaginative potential of visual and artistic practices in the face of the ecological crisis, extractivist logic, and colonial legacies. 

through its sessions, it brings together artists, researchers, and curators to explore the ways in which images contribute to the creation of worlds, the critique of dominant discourses, and the development of alternatives.

The seminar will take place from October through December 2025 and is co-organized by Alejandro Leon Cannock and Mathieu Corp.
