Repair the mesh

Repair the mesh   is a photo and video project that brings together images of the unique countryside of Dorset, a region on the south coast of the United Kingdom. 

As an artist-in-residence in Bridport through Artconnexion, I sought to capture a variety of images during walks made possible by the area’s extensive network of trails. Alongside this approach, I met various groups and individuals who are working to preserve the landscape and the systems that sustain it—and even those that transform it.

The goal is to ensure that this landscape—which could be described as bucolic and stems primarily from sheep farming—endures and even expands into areas from which it has been displaced.
