This series started with a simple idea.
While we wait for the invasion of avatars, how can we use their inanimate prehistoric ancestors to illustrate or suggest anything other than their primary function?
A first image of old mannequins at a flea market poses the challenge: how many different compositions can illustrate a word—solely through the choice of perspective. That is, without altering anything about the arrangement made by the original user, whether a flea market vendor or someone else.
The decision to use a sepia tone—a completely arbitrary choice—is intended to foster a sense of wonder and draw the viewer into the story... Since I don't have black and white, I'm sticking with duotone...
