The Excavations

His work revolves around the concepts of Origin and Process, particularly in The Excavations where she attempts to bring to the surface buried, visceral, primordial images, with the aim of trying to recover Memory.

The media she uses—whether digital, film, video, or heliogravure—are intimately involved in the conception of her work. The camera obscura, development, alchemy, the very essence of photography—are her sources of inspiration, along with her fascination with the visual language of dreams and the strangeness of vision. Her photographs are often taken with long exposures and in black & white, creating images on the edge of dreams and buried memories, seeking to shed light on our mysterious presence in the world and to capture the invisible.
