Launch of the Hippolyte Bayard Circle

On Tuesday, February 20, 2024, the CRP (Hauts-de-France Regional Center for Photography), Château Coquelle, Destin Sensible, Diaphane—the Hauts-de-France Photography Hub—and the Institut pour la photographieformally adopted the name of the committee that has brought them together for several years and signed a charter of shared values in Breteuil (Oise), at the birthplace of Hippolyte Bayard, one of the pioneers of photography.

Among their initiatives, these five regional players in the field of photography—all members of the “Cercle Hippolyte Bayard”—are committed to expanding access to photographic culture, supporting the contemporary photography scene, promoting the region’s photographic heritage, and developing and implementing a social responsibility initiative.

As in recent years, the members of the Cercle will also continue to organize a series of group exhibitions.

in the fall of 2024, in partnership with the BNF, they will present, among other things, a selection of works from the “Grande commande Photojournalisme” project in their respective regions.
