Cercle Hippolyte Bayard: Charter of Shared Values
On February 20, 2024, the CRP/, Château Coquelle, Destin Sensible, Diaphane, and the Institut pour la photographie signed a charter of shared values.
The organizations are committed to fostering collaboration and resource-sharing while respecting each other’s unique characteristics, resources, and territories, in order to promote and disseminate photographic culture in the Hauts-de-France region, with a shared national and international vision.

Expanding Access to Photographic Culture
↘︎ Respect the diversity of audiences and regions, with a particular focus on those who lack access to cultural offerings;
↘︎ Bring together partners from various sectors, such as education, social services, healthcare, etc.;
↘︎ To promote critical interpretation of photographic images by combining theory with practice;
↘︎ Promote interactions between audiences and artists in all outreach, cultural, and educational activities;
↘︎ Support regional photography promotion projects initiated by other regional stakeholders: selection committees, provision of internal resources and networks, co-productions, etc.
Supporting the Contemporary Arts Scene
↘︎ Promote freedom of expression and creativity;
↘︎ Combat all forms of discrimination based on ethnicity, politics, social status, religion, gender, and age;
↘︎ Compensate artists and other professionals involved in programming—exhibitions, events, outreach, etc.—by establishing minimum rates;
↘︎ Cover the production costs associated with exhibitions and other events;
↘︎ Support the arts through more targeted programs for artist residencies, commissions, and grants;
↘︎ Supporting artists in their professional careers: helping to oversee projects, sharing internal resources, and connecting them with our networks;
↘︎ More generally, support projects aimed at promoting photography.
Promoting the Regional Photographic Heritage
↘︎ Provide support for the preservation and management of photographic collections;
↘︎ Provide support for value-creation projects;
↘︎ Share internal resources and expertise, as well as those from its networks.
Develop and implement a CSR strategy
↘︎ Promote accessibility and inclusion, while keeping in mind our moral obligation;
↘︎ Fulfilling an eco-responsible commitment: promoting the circular economy—including local ecology, eco-design, the functional economy, etc.—with a view to optimizing resource management and sharing, by drawing on the REV3 Roadmap in the Hauts-de-France region.
