Natura Obscura

A project carried out in collaboration with the DRAC Hauts-de-France, as part of the 100% EAC initiative.

The Project

The Institut pour la photographie has joined forces with the experimental “100% EAC” initiative developed within the Château-Thierry Urban Community, offering a project that explores our environment and everyday landscapes through a sensitive (and upside-down!) photographic lens. 

It involved rediscovering our familiar world through mobile camera obscuras (which came in various sizes: giant, intimate, pocket-sized, mobile, etc.), designed by artist David Leleu in collaboration with young people supported by the Mission Locale of the Château-Thierry Urban Community. 

The Project Natura Obscura aimed to establish a different relationship with the photographic image through a play on scales and perspectives, guided by a poetic perception of space.
