MOTIFS - Free rein for students at the University of Lille
As part of its policy to support research and artistic creation, the Institut pour la photographie gave students in the Master of Arts program—specifically those in the Exhibition/Production of Contemporary Art and Visual and Plastic Arts tracks—at the University of Lille free rein.
The Project
The Institute’s teams worked with the students to design and produce an exhibition dedicated to the Dunkirk Carnival. Presented in the fall of 2020 at the Institute as part of the En Quête series, the exhibition used a selection of archival materials to offer a fresh perspective on various events and news stories that have marked the Dunkirk carnivals over the past forty years.
