EROA #2 - Palimpsest: From Document to Artwork

As part of the second edition of the program EROA - “Espace Rencontre Oeuvre d’Art,” a joint initiative of the DRAC Hauts-de-France and the DRAEAC in Lille, Palimpeste: From Document to Artwork was presented at Boris Vian High School in Croix, in collaboration with the Institut pour la photographie.

The Project

Palimpsest: From Document to Artwork brought together works by Katia Kameli, Raymond Depardon, and David Leleu to explore the status of photographic images and the possible reinterpretations of their own iconographic media.

A selection of magazines from the Institute’s library collection, curated by middle school students, rounded out the exhibition to highlight the semantic power of these various images.
