Victorine Alisse

Victorine Alisse, the granddaughter of a farmer born in 1992, has been working on a documentary project for the past five years about the disappearance of rural life, with the first part set in France and the second in Palestine/Israel. 

Her documentary approach leads her to explore social and environmental issues; above all, it is her encounters with others that inspire her photographic work. She is interested in new narrative forms, particularly through the combination of text and images in the series “ Outdoors "co-directed with JS Saia and awarded the Caritas Photo Sociale Prize in 2021." 

In 2023, she won the Redpoll Trophy New Artist Award in China for her series ""We'll stay here as long as there's thyme and olives.", created in collaboration with Palestinian farmers from the village of Wadi Fukin. While initially rooted in documentary filmmaking, her approach also turns toward a more artistic form of photography, in which the image becomes a space for introspection and contemplation, as seen in the series “ I'll go drown myself in that blue ”. 

Member of the collective Non-Standard Size , she regularly collaborates with institutions as well as with the French and international press, notably with Liberation , Le Monde or Der Spiegel . Her work has been exhibited in France and abroad. She shares her experience through photography workshops with Diaphane and Dysturb.
