Téo Becher
Photographer
Born in 1991, Téo Becher grew up in Nancy in northeastern France.
He has been based in Brussels since 2011, where he lives and works. He holds a bachelor’s degree in photography from ESA Le 75 and a master’s degree from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
His practice centers on the landscape and issues related to its use, exploitation, and representation. Through his projects, he seeks to reflect on our relationship with what we call “nature” and to offer a different understanding of it.
in Brussels, in 2020, he co-founded the collective The Many composed of eight photographers and an art historian. Together, they have opened a multifaceted space that serves as a studio, exhibition space, conference venue, workshop space, and more.
His monograph White charcoal was published in October 2021 by Le Bec en l’air. Since 2017, his work has been exhibited at various festivals and galleries in France and Belgium.
