I don't remember how old I was when I took my first pictures, but what I do remember very clearly is that when I was about 10, I managed to convince my parents to buy me my first 24x36 Asahi-Pentax SP 500 SLR camera—after lengthy negotiations—and that I had to make a lot of sacrifices to get it!

The following year saw the first prints emerge from the darkroom I had set up in a corner of the attic at my parents’ house, and a few years later, I began studying photography at the Institut Saint-Luc in Tournai.

After more than 10 years of various activities alongside a few side jobs, it wasn’t until I was in my thirties—and after a great deal of perseverance—that I was finally able to make a full-time living from my passion. For nearly 40 years now, I’ve had the good fortune to work primarily for a very large local government whose responsibilities range from social services to culture, including the economy and tourism, which has allowed me to cover a wide variety of stories, wonderful encounters, and the pleasure of having been able to contribute as much as possible to promoting a beautiful region that suffers from a poor public image!

I have also worked for many years in the communications departments of major companies such as Suez Grand-Nord, Enedis Manche Mer du Nord, Voies navigables de France, the Soginorpa Group, and the SDIS du Nord...

I was also involved in the founding of Floriscope Publishing, which specializes in publishing postcards and posters featuring the Hauts-de-France region.

My work as a drone pilot certified by the DGAC since 2014 has allowed me to expand my range of services and learn the basics of video production.
