Nicolas Delfort

I was born in Denain in 1994, and I studied Fine Arts in Valenciennes, earning both a bachelor's and a master's degree.

I co-founded the visual artists’ collective Losange Noir after graduating. I won the “Filme ton quartier” contest for a short film about the town of Denain. I have produced several individual documentary projects, as well as collaborative projects with local residents and educational residencies focused on video and photography. Since 2015, I have been documenting the transformations of the former steel and mining region where I was born.
