Laura Henno

Born in Croix in 1976, Laura Henno lives and works in Paris.

After studying photography at ENSAV in La Cambre, Laura Henno studied film at Le Fresnoy. Winner of the Discovery Prize at the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie d'Arles in 2007, the artist has since held numerous solo exhibitions in France and abroad, including her exhibitions at the Vieille Église in Mérignac (France) in 2026, M'Tsamboro at the Frac Auvergne (France) and Otherworld at the Museum of Photography in Charleroi (Belgium) in 2024, Ge Ouryao ! Because you have fear ? at the Wifredo Lam Center (Havana, Cuba) in 2023, Ge Ouryao ! Selected for the Villa Albertine, Laura Henno is part of the first cohort of the French artists-in-residence program in the United States. In 2026, Laura Henno was a finalist for the Marcel Duchamp Prize and, as such, exhibited at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris in October of that year. Laura Henno has also won numerous awards, including the SAM Prize for Contemporary Art in 2019 and the Jury Prize at the 2019 Festival des Champs Élysées for her film Djo , which also won the Camira Prize at the Belfort International Entrevues Film Festival in 2018. His film Koropa it won the Equality and Diversity Award at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in 2017, the Librarians' Award at the 2016 Premiers Plans Festival in Angers, and the Grand Prize at the 2016 Entrevues Belfort International Film Festival.

Laura Henno’s work is included in several major private and public collections, such as the Centre Pompidou (Paris, France), Les Abattoirs (Toulouse, France), the PACA Regional Contemporary Art Fund (France) and the Saint Denis Regional Contemporary Art Fund (Réunion, France), the MacVal, the Val-de-Marne Museum of Contemporary Art (France), the BPS22 (Charleroi, Belgium), and the Kadist Foundation (Paris, France). Laura Henno has been represented by the Galerie Nathalie Obadia in Paris and Brussels since 2021.
