Julia Scorna was born in 1983 in Leipzig (GDR).

She graduated from the Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany, in 2008; her work explores the relationship between humanity (civilization) and nature. Her photographic work is documentary in nature, in both color (medium format) and black-and-white (35 mm). Her work also includes installations (sound/light) and objects (sculptures). After spending time abroad in various places (the Middle East, China), France has been her second home since 2014.
