Gabriela Tellez

Now based in Lille, Gabriela Tellez began her studies in fine arts and photography in Costa Rica, while collaborating 

While pursuing her studies, she collaborated with local media outlets and international agencies. In 2010, she moved to France for a residency at the École de Photographie d’Arles, then pursued a master’s degree in Creation and Contemporary Art Studies at the University of Lille, where she graduated in 2013. Influenced by documentary photography and storytelling, she has developed an approach focused on mobility and quality of life in societies. 

In 2020, she was selected as an emerging talent by the program 6x6 for World Press Photo in Central and North America. He is currently a member of the agency Light Motiv , she leads artistic initiatives, particularly in medical facilities, and works on personal projects related to identity, exploring how fragments of the past—whether personal, cultural, or collective—transform and influence our perception of ourselves and our relationships with others.
