Éric Leleu

Photographer

Éric Leleu was born in Douai, in the Nord department, in 1979.

After studying social entrepreneurship at the École de Management de Lyon (graduating in 2005), he moved to China. There, he worked as a freelance photographer for 12 years, taking on commissioned projects (for the press and businesses) to finance his personal work.

Upon returning to France in 2017, he opened the third place “La Musette” in Guesnain, his hometown. Today, he divides his time between running the space, working on participatory public commissions, and his work as a photographer and artist: “For me, photography isn’t static. It’s a dynamic art form that shifts between a means of personal expression—almost sculptural, even experimental—a tool for documenting reality in order to leave a trace of my time on earth, and, above all, a passport for exploring new worlds and satisfying my curiosity. ”
