Clément Brugger

Clément Brugger, born in Besançon in 1991, is a French artist who lives and works in Lille.

A 2017 graduate of the École Supérieure d’Art et de Design de Nancy and La Cambre,  his work explores the history of photography and its production processes. The hybridization of techniques and media—often in ways that subvert their original purpose—is a driving force behind his practice. Production errors and artifacts appear as strata, layers that offer a glimpse into the image’s anatomy and its fragility.
