Camille Ropert

Camille Ropert is a French photographer and filmmaker. 

Her projects fall within the realm of documentary art. She focuses on exploring the impact and influences of the past on identity, whether human or territorial. In 2015, she won second prize in the " Estée Lauder Pink Ribbon Photo Award ", which explores the physical and psychological scars left by her mother's cancer a few years earlier.  As a recipient of the Fondation de France's "Déclic Jeune" grant in 2016, she is developing the project " Would you like some more tea? "which focuses in greater detail on the exhaustion and challenges that the body and the individual experience throughout the various stages of the disease. The Bourse du Talent jury awarded her the “Coup de Coeur” prize in 2018. Her work has been exhibited at the BNF (National Library of France), the Maison de la Photographie in Lille, and the City Hall of Paris’s 3rd arrondissement.

With support from the CNC since 2020, she is developing her first feature-length documentary The New Bison . The film explores the impact of colonialism on an Indigenous community in Western Canada. In 2025, she began developing her second feature-length documentary, *Les victorieuses*, which explores the film and fashion industries through the story of a mother and her 10-year-old daughter. 

In 2021, she received support from Pictanovo’s Emergence Fund and developed the project Pond Snails . Pond Snails is a continuation of her work on the representation of female bodies and her desire to examine various forms of domination through an intersectional lens.
