Bérangère Fromont
Photographer
Bérangère Fromont was born in Martigues; she lives and works in Paris.
For about fifteen years now, personal, collective, and literary references—as well as documentary and staged imagery—have intertwined and revolved around the central theme of the photographer’s work: resistance.
Her photographs are exhibited internationally and featured in various online and print publications. Five books have been published, one for each of her projects. In 2023, she was a finalist for the Foam Paul Huf Prize. The book Only Love Will Break Our Hearts has been selected for the Rencontres d’Arles Book Awards. Her last two projects were supported by the CNAP. She is currently an artist-in-residence at Poush, an artist incubator in Aubervilliers.
She is represented by the Bacqueville Gallery in Lille.
