Barbara Salomé Felgenhauer is a multidisciplinary artist who works in photography, film, installation, and performance. Within her ecofeminist studio I dreamed of darkness , she has developed a multifaceted artistic and political practice, convinced that to experience the world differently, we must tell its story differently.
In her creative process, interdisciplinary research in history, sociology, and philosophy—viewed through the lens of gender—allows her to ground her narratives in new relationships with the world, imbued with spirituality. She explores the connections between the body and the earth, drawing freely on ecofeminist thought and practices—as well as their neo-pagan dimensions—through performance, gatherings, and collective projects.
