Working as a Team: VOST, 10 Years of History

VOST Collectif is an association founded in Arles in 2012. It operates in Marseille at the Coco Velten space and in Toulouse at the Atelier Motor. Its five members are involved in image-based work, including set design, filming, post-production, educational workshops, writing, and publishing. Through diverse artistic and cultural creation, they aim to bring together groups, individuals, audiences, regions, artists, and ideas. “Thinking and Acting Collectively,” by Dominique Baqué, is an essay commissioned by the VOST collective to mark its 10th anniversary in 2022. Given free rein, the author and art critic traces the history of photography collectives through the history of art and examines the artist’s role and status within these groups. The collective will present the book *Thinking and Acting Collectively* on December 17 at 4:00 p. m. In our library.
