A Conversation with Sarah Ritter and Delphine Manjard
Rencontre
Sarah Ritter is a photographer, and she could be described as a materialist. In her work, the images are often imbued with textures, depth, and shadows. Just as when we move from light into shadow, these images require a moment to adjust; this stolen moment offers us a welcome opportunity for contemplation. Though devoid of specific subjects, Sarah Ritter’s images are not without stories. Indeed, it is their narrative power that creates a space where our imagination takes hold and completes the story.
Sarah Ritter is the author of several books, and this event will provide an opportunity to discuss her work, her books, and the day-to-day reality of photographers in France.
She will be in conversation with Delphine Manjard from the Librairie du Palais on December 2, starting at 4:00 p. m., in our library.
