The Institut pour la photographie’s Book Market is back on December 9 and 10! These two days, entirely dedicated to photography books, offer you the chance to discover the richness and vitality of the photography publishing world.

Participants are asked to bring their pre-printed photos.

Strange Attractor , on view at the LaM through January 21, 2024, a discussion on the t photographic work by Mohamed Bourouissa in the presence of the artist and Marie-Amélie Senot, Head of the Contemporary Art Collection at LaM , followed by a book-signing for the volume co-published for this occasion by Dilecta and the LaM (price: €28 at the Institute’s bookstore).

Book Overview What does photography mean to you? Japanese photographers’ answers to Bernard Plossu’s question (published by CHIBI INTERNATIONAL) by Morgane Kieffer , a photographer who co-authored the book with Sophie Cavaliero, an author and representative of the CHIBI association.
In response to Bernard Plossu’s question, “What does photography mean to you?”, this book presents the answers of 113 Japanese photographers through text and images.

Writing Workshop by Morgane Ortin related to Tandem , Justine Pluvinage’s video, on display on the ground floor of the Institute.
With a structured pace and clear guidance, this workshop aims to help participants revisit their own love stories through the ones they imagine based on snapshots of strangers—people who have been forgotten, lost, and found.
