Screening of the film “The World” by Jia Zhangke

As part of Thomas Sauvin’s exhibition, Beijing World Park , the Institute is hosting an evening event on Thursday, October 17, from 6:00 p. m. To 9:00 p. m., The World, A Chinese film directed by Jia Zhangke and released in 2005.

Synopsis:

> Tao makes a living as a dancer at an amusement park The World, a vast space featuring replicas of famous monuments from around the world. Her boyfriend also works there as a security guard, but he seems to be attracted to Qun, a fashion designer whose husband has emigrated to France…
